Overview
Measures and transmits temperature, relative humidity, and light intensity data wirelessly. Includes an external analog input to attach a variety of additional sensors.
This self-contained, Bluetooth-enabled, wireless data logger lets you use your mobile device or Windows computer and Onset's free HOBOconnect app to access data, at any time, when within 100 feet of the logger. Configure the logger, read out data, view data in graphs, check the operational status of loggers, configure alarm notifications, and share data files - with no dedicated equipment beyond a mobile device or laptop.
Purchase an MX Data Plan to get more out of your data and access it from anywhere using the LI-COR Cloud software platform (formerly HOBOlink)! You can also purchase the MX Gateway station, which automatically sends your logger's data to LI-COR Cloud.

FAQs
The temperature sensor can measure temperatures ranging from -20° to 70°C (-4° to 158°F).
The accuracy is ±0.20°C from 0° to 50°C (±0.36°F from 32° to 122°F).
The resolution is 0.002°C at 25°C (0.004°F at 77°F).
The temperature sensor has a drift of less than 0.1°C (0.18°F) per year.
The relative humidity sensor can measure humidity from 0% to 100% at -20° to 70°C (-4° to 158°F). Exposure to conditions above 95% may temporarily increase the maximum relative humidity sensor error by an additional 1%.
The accuracy of the relative humidity sensor is:
±2.5% from 10% to 90% (typical) to a maximum of ±3.5% including hysteresis at 25°C (77°F)
Below 10% and above 90%, the accuracy is ±5% typical
The resolution of the relative humidity sensor is 0.01%.
The relative humidity sensor has a typical drift of less than 1% per year.
The typical response time to reach 90% in air moving at 1 m/s (2.2 mph) is 11 minutes.
The typical response time to reach 90% in airflow of 1 m/s (2.2 mph) is 30 seconds.
The light sensor can measure from 0 to 167,731 lux (15,582 lum/ft²).
The accuracy of the light sensor is ±10% typical for direct sunlight.
The logger operates within a temperature range of -20° to 70°C (-4° to 158°F).
The logger has a transmission range of approximately 30.5 meters (100 feet) line-of-sight.
The logger uses Bluetooth Low Energy (Bluetooth Smart) for wireless data transmission.
The logging rate can be set from 1 second to 18 hours.
The logging modes available are fixed interval (normal, statistics) or burst.
The memory modes are wrap when full or stop when full.
The start modes are immediate, push button, date & time, or next interval.
The stop modes are when memory is full, push button, date & time, or after a set logging period.
The time accuracy is ±1 minute per month at 25°C (77°F).
The logger uses two AAA 1.5 V alkaline batteries, which are user-replaceable
The battery life is typically 1 year with a logging interval of 1 minute and Bluetooth Always On enabled. It can last up to 2 years with Bluetooth Always On disabled and temperatures between 0° and 50°C (32° and 122°F). Faster logging intervals, burst logging, and frequent app use can reduce battery life.
The logger has 4 MB of memory, which can store up to 1.9 million measurements.
Downloading the full memory typically takes approximately 4 to 15 minutes depending on the mobile device. It may take longer if the device is farther from the logger.
The dimensions are 11.28 x 5.41 x 2.92 cm (4.44 x 2.13 x 1.15 inches), and it weighs 123 g (4.34 oz).
The logger has an IP54 environmental rating.
