Often this issue manifests itself when both Hoboware and BoxCar software are installed on the same computer. To correct the issue, simply unmap DTF file in Hoboware. (If you use a weather station, energy logger, or U30, you might not want to do this as the DTF extension will open in BoxCar.) In Hoboware go to: File / Preferences / File associations. Click "UnMap" on the DTF file type line.

A discharge of static electricity may cause a running data logger to stop recording. Precautions should be taken to prevent this while handling the data logger. Discharges may occur when there is a charge difference between the data logger and a cable being connected to it or when a person touches an exposed jack.
