Is groundwater recharge a good groundwater management strategy?
Gauging the effectiveness of groundwater recharge efforts is a crucial strategy for managing water resources sustainably. So, smart and streamlined solutions to monitor and manage recharge efforts in real time is now more important than ever.
In this 45-minute Thought Leader webinar, presenters Kassy Chauhan, Special Projects Manager at Fresno Irrigation District (FID) and Executive Officer of the North Kings Groundwater Sustainability Agency (GSA), and Christopher Lundeen, Engineering Technician III at FID, share how data-driven monitoring approaches can support better decision-making by providing accurate, real-time data, improve recharge outcomes, and support long-term groundwater sustainability.
Topics in this Groundwater Monitoring Webinar
- An overview of California’s Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA) and the development of GSAs
- Implementing and leveraging monitoring networks to help GSAs gauge success of groundwater recharge efforts
- The benefits of real-time data for effective groundwater management decisions
- How HOBO systems have improved data availability and allowed for more frequent monitoring of aquifer response to recharge & recovery efforts
Discover how real-time data can lead to improved, more informed groundwater management and sustainability!
