Overview
Temperature is one of the most critical and commonly measured parameters across the entire range of HVAC systems. Specifically, air-handling units and large spaces require diagnostics to gauge temperature stratification by capturing key temperature points including: outside air (OAT), mixed air (MAT), return air (RAT), supply air, discharge air (DAT), as well as chilled water, condenser water, and heating water loops.
This air handler monitoring kit offers a cost-effective, efficient solution for simultaneously capturing multiple temperature points. Rather than deploying separate loggers in each individual airstream or fluid loop—which would be significantly more expensive—this kit uses a MX1105 HOBO Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) 4-Channel Data Logger and four low-cost Self-Describing temperature probes, multi-channel logger to provide a single, centralized measurement tool. This single logger requires only one setup, and expedites data collection, downloading via Bluetooth wireless communication from anywhere within 100 feet of the logger. This streamlined workflow reduces equipment costs, simplifies data management, and accelerates diagnostics.
Using our free HOBOconnect® app on your mobile device or laptop, you can wirelessly configure the logger, download and view data in real-time graphs, check operational status, set alarm notifications, and share data files—all without the need for dedicated equipment. This flexibility and simplicity makes it ideal for energy audits, HVAC diagnostics, and long-term system monitoring.
