Overview
Enabled with cellular communication, this award-winning remote water level monitoring station completes calculations onsite and sends notifications of critical conditions via cellular plans to the cloud. Ideal for stormwater, floodwater, irrigation, hydrologic, and environmental applications, this remote monitoring solution comes with pre-programmed water flow formulas for select weirs, flumes, and a stage discharge table that allow easy and intuitive configuration.
This compact and durable station, together with the non-vented water level sensor, provides reliable monitoring, even when deployed in harsh conditions. Water flow and accumulated rainfall calculations, which are performed directly on the station at time of measurement, trigger immediate notifications of critical water level conditions.
The optional integrated solar panel or battery power, with a wide range of plug-and-play smart sensors, supports flexible environmental monitoring.

* Water Level Accuracy: With accurate reference water level measurement, known water density, and a stable temperature environment. System Water Level Accuracy equals the sum of the Barometric Water Level Accuracy plus the selected sensor Water Level Accuracy.
** Raw Pressure Accuracy: Absolute pressure sensor accuracy includes all sensor drift, temperature, and hysteresis-induced errors.
*** Changes in Temperature: Allow 20 minutes in water to achieve full temperature compensation of the pressure sensor. There can be up to 0.5% of additional error due to rapid temperature changes.
Measurement accuracy also depends on temperature response time.

FAQs
If you have a question that’s not listed below, contact our Sales Application Specialists, who will be happy to help you!
Yes, the station is configured with pre-installed calculations for V-notch weirs, general flumes (e.g. Parshall, Ramp, and Cutthroat), and a stage-discharge table.
The MicroRX Water Level Station has alarms that trigger for accumulated rainfall and water level/flow at time of measurement.
The RX2100 can only have one accumulated rainfall alarm set up at a time.
Yes, data can already be used with Network for Environment and Weather Applications (NEWA), DataWise, and the Florida Automated Weather Network (FAWN). Integration with Aquarius is coming soon.
There are multiple ways to mount the water level sensor.
- Suspend the sensor in a 2” well with a dedicated Onset well cap
- Suspend the sensor in larger wells with a reducer to Onset’s well cap, or your own well cap.
- If mounting in a storm sewer, use a PVC pipe with holes and one end resting on the bottom of the catchment and the top secured to the side of the catchment access.
A well cap will protect your water level sensor from rainfall and debris. It is uniquely designed to keep the water level sensor cable securely in place, which is especially helpful when using longer cables.
You may want an additional solar panel to boost power to ensure connectivity at the maximum 10-minute rate. It may also be a good option if your station is not deployed in full sun.
