Can stand-alone indoor air filtration reduce risks and improve health-related incomes for those with moderate to severe chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD)? Our UX120 Plug Load data loggers were used as part of this recent study conducted in the homes of US military Veterans with moderate to severe COPD in metropolitan Chicago.
Recently published in Trials Journal, this in-depth, 12-month study is the first of its kind sought to spark discussions "to inform policy and practice in both healthy housing and patient medical care...and also offers the potential for providing novel data on associations between housing conditions and COPD outcomes and providing novel insight into air cleaner operation in this vulnerable population."
