If you're experiencing communication issues with your USB data logger, base station, and shuttle, here are a few things to consider:

If using Windows -

  • Be sure that your OS is supported and up to date (Admin)
  • Try "High Power" mode

If using a Mac -

  • Be sure that you've installed the Kext file provided with the HOBOware download

For either Windows or Mac -

  • Check that HOBOware is up to date
  • Check the USB cable for connectivity with other known working devices
  • Check optic windows for clarity, and clean and buff out as needed
  • Check the coupler for tightness
  • Check the coupler for installed magnets
