RX3000 & U30 Networking, Firewall Problems

Network firewall difficulty: The network interface controller (NIC) in the HOBO RX3000 and U30-ETH and WIF will attempt to make a connection to the numerical IP address 208.85.146.151:54328 every "Readout Interval." Your firewall must allow the logger to connect to this IP address, and must also allow the MAC address of the logger NIC.

Network firewall difficulty:

The network interface controller (NIC) in the HOBO RX3000 and U30-ETH and WIF will attempt to make a connection to the URL dil.hobolink.com:54328 every "Readout Interval." Your firewall must allow the logger to connect to this URL, and must also allow the MAC address of the logger NIC.

Your "network firewall" must allow (not filter/deny) the RX3000 or U30 all of the following:

Must Allow Access to URL dil.hobolink.com
Port 54328 must be open
MAC Address (printed on the door of the RX3000 or U30 logger) must be white-listed, allowed, and not blocked

For an Ethernet connection you may need to demonstrate to your IT department that a network firewall is blocking the U30 from making a connection to HOBOlink.
