Can data center cooling systems accurately detect and correct overheating?

Since 2022 when this podcast aired, AI has supersized the need for data centers...and the energy demand required to power their massive cooling systems.

Bill Dunckel, a senior project manager at Pacific Gas and Electric (PG&E), explains how he uses HOBO Data Loggers inside racks and in strategic spots near and in cooling systems to identify areas that are overcooling or overheating. He explains how much energy data centers demand, and how to work with this information to cut down on the electricity used by his customers’ data centers.
