About Premium Warranty Coverage
The Premium Warranty covers your data logger for 2 years from the date of purchase.
The Premium Warranty covers any damage to the data logger, regardless of the cause.
Warranty Claim Process
Contact HOBO Data Loggers to start the warranty claim.
A replacement product will be shipped to you in advance via 2-day air shipping.
Return the original product to HOBO Data Loggers.
The original product will be inspected to confirm it is inoperable.
Warranty Conditions
If the original product is found to be functional, you will be billed the full price of the replacement data logger after 30 days. The Premium Warranty does not cover lost or missing loggers. Warranty coverage must be chosen at the time of purchase and cannot be added or upgraded later. The Premium Warranty is only available to domestic US customers. International customers are eligible for the 1-year manufacturer’s warranty.
HOBO Warranty Frequently Asked Questions
While all serialized HOBO data loggers and sensors include a standard 1-year warranty, only select models qualify for extended coverage.
Both warranties offer the same degree of protection, but the extended warranty gives an extra year of coverage (for a total of 2yrs).
Our Standard and Extended warranties only cover manufacturing quality defects. Our Premium warranty lets you return a broken logger and receive a new replacement, no-questions-asked..
After adding a data logger to your cart, you’ll be given the option of sticking with the standard warranty or upgrading to the Extended or Premium options.
Yes! Contact our service team and let them know what happened. We’ll ship you out a replacement logger with instructions on how to return the broken unit.
We will ship your replacement via 2-day air as soon as stock is available. Availability can vary depending on the season and order volume, but we prioritize warranty replacements and strive to ship the same day—typically replacements are sent within two weeks at most.
We're always sad to hear your logger has gone on an unexpected "adventure", never to return. Unfortunately, our warranty programs only cover damage, not lost or missing loggers.
