Summary

The Receiving Department provides service and support to Production, Engineering, Sales, and Marketing. The Stockroom Clerk is responsible for all Job Order kits to the Production Floor for assembly of products, maintaining stock levels on Production Floor racks and cells, as well as in the stockroom warehouse, and cycle counting material.

Duties & Responsibilities 

The Stockroom Clerk is responsible for all duties and responsibilities that originate from the Receiving Stockroom, including, but not limited to, the following:

  • Kitting: Pulling material from stockroom shelves in a FIFO manner, reading a BOM (Build of Material), organizing that material into a Kit, verifying counts and labeling the Kit, and transacting those parts in Syteline
  • Water Spider: Performing the twice-daily task of stocking and restocking the Production Floor benches and racks, and ensuring the stock is available to all floor personnel and the material racks are neatly displayed and organized. This task must be performed in a timely fastidious manner to support a consistent workflow
  • Cycle Counting: Counting parts and material in order to maintain consistent stock levels in the stockroom. Hand counting and/or weighing the material using the provided scale is an essential task throughout the entire Production Floor and Shipping & Receiving Departments
  • Cross Training in the Shipping Dept: Undergoing cross training in order to assist in Shipping as needed. Responsibilities include receiving products into the finished goods stockroom and inventory system; per order, pick the required items, check orders for accuracy; pack order and create labels. Assist in the assembly of various products assembled in Shipping, such as starter kits, development kits, etc. 
  • Trash Removal: Assisting in the maintenance of an organized, safe stockroom by removing trash and cardboard daily

Qualifications/Education/Experience

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Good eyesight, reading skills, attention to detail, reliability, and flexibility
  • Familiarity with ERP systems is helpful
  • Familiarity with inventory control techniques and shipping methods
  • Ability to plan work and handle and prioritize multiple tasks is critical
  • Basic computer literacy is required
  • Ability to use basic measuring equipment, including calipers
  • Ability to interpret and utilize engineering drawings and specifications
  • High School diploma or GED

  • At times this position can be physically demanding, requiring frequent lifting of small to medium-sized packages  typically weighing 2 to 10 pounds, occasional lifting of packages weighing 30 to 50 pounds, and the possibility of having to lift packages weighing as much as 150 lbs.
