Just how did these engineering students tackle their master’s thesis and simultaneously become the heroes of their local brewery in Michigan? Using Onset HOBO data loggers, of course!
They tracked the energy used by the brewery by collecting data on a gas-fired boiler, a brew house glycol chiller, some cold room refrigeration equipment, and an air-handler.
Using HOBO data loggers to monitor the flows of energy and water in the brewery, the brewers could better understand the energy consumption and find ways to enhance energy savings during the beer-making process.
