Overview

The HOBO U14 LCD Temperature/Relative Humidity (RH) Data Logger displays and records temperature and humidity conditions. It is well-suited for use in manufacturing, processing, and storage environments where reliable monitoring and documentation of specific temp/RH conditions are critical. Data is offloaded via USB to a PC or Mac computer. An alarm display and built-in relay for use with Onset's Remote Alarm and/or Autodialer accessories assure timely notification of alarm conditions.

External Sensors
For External Sensor Specifications, see the sensor’s user manual.

Battery Life
The batteries will last one year in typical conditions (logging intervals of ≥ 1 minute with weekly offloads and average temperatures greater than 10°C or +50°F). Frequent offloads and/or extreme temperatures will reduce battery life.

At temperatures below freezing (0°C or +32°F), batteries will typically require replacement every six months. In these conditions the battery level bar graph should be checked regularly.

FAQs

What should I do if the logger's internal board gets wet? [show/hide]

If possible, remove the board from the case and the battery from the board. Dry the board completely using a hair dryer. If the board was exposed to salt water, rinse the board with fresh water and then dry the board. You may try inserting a new battery and downloading the data. If you are unable to access the data, or see any sign of corrosion or tarnishing on the board, contact the place of purchase for a return number. The data may be retrievable, and the logger may be repairable. Charges will apply and are dependent on the amount of damage.

Latest Conditions do not appear to be updating, but my graphs look correct? [show/hide]

An issue has been discovered with the database access layer, causing invalid latest conditions to be shown for U30 analog port sensors. The data in the files and graphs is correct. A fix has been implemented and is currently being tested. A release of this fix is expected in August.
