• Product Marketing Specialist

Product Marketing Specialist -

Key Focus:

This product marketing specialist will define, shepherd, launch and support new products; and support sales on existing products. By working closely with sales, customers, engineering and management; this person will be responsible for defining target markets and applications, leading product launch initiatives, establishing pricing, competitive positioning. In addition, the product marketing specialist will work closely with marketing communications in the development of product collateral, targeting, and lead generation activities.

Primary Responsibilities:

1. Researches and aggregates requests into prioritized lists of customer problems to be solved
2. Works with engineering in the definition and development of the solutions to the problems
3. Conducts industry, market segment, customer and technology research, compiles data, perform analysis and shares insightful information
4. Ensures an ongoing, accurate collection and validation of key customer pain points and requirements
5. Conducts and presents periodic business reviews for assigned products
6. Provides product demonstrations and conducts product presentations for a variety of audiences including: customers, prospects, third parties, industry forum opportunities, employees and upper management

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

1. Adept at maintaining strong and fruitful relationships across all internal organizations
2. Strong interpersonal, communication, negotiation, organizational, research and analytical skills
3. Ability to manage activities, make effective recommendations, make independent decisions using sound judgment, and communicate information in a clear, understandable and informative manner
4. Ability to conduct professional presentations for internal and external customers concerning strategic direction and vision for assigned products
5. Strong attention to strategic marketing.

Requirements:

1. Engineering degree or equivalent industry experience
2. Minimum of 3 years experience in technical product marketing and/or sales.
3. Software experience highly desired.
4. C.S./Engineering degree preferred.
