Wind Sensor not recognized

During testing of a custom weather station setup, it appears that the DavisĀ® Wind Speed and Direction Smart Sensor has failed. It is not recognized by the HOBOware software. There appears to be no obvious visual damage to the sensor or cable, despite experiencing 80 MPH winds during a recent hurricane on Montserrat. Is there any way to troubleshoot this sensor to figure out what is wrong and whether it can be repaired? The Davis sensor is being used with a HOBO U30 NRC data logger.

If there is an issue with the sensor, it should be evident in the shuttle display. Please click the hyperlink below to start a tech support case.
