Hoboware in Linux under WINE No Devices Connected

I am trying to run Hoboware 3.7.11 with WINE in Linux CentOS 6. WINE is configured as XP Windows. I have created a link to the USB device as ~/.wine/dosdevices/com1. The link (and its source) has permissions that I can access. I can see the hobo device with "lsusb -D com1". (Device: ID 05e3:0605 Genesys Logic, Inc. USB 2.0 Hub) Yet I cannot get hoboware to use the device. At the bottom right it reports No Devices Connected. Has anyone ever used hoboware under WINE?

I am trying to do the same thing. I wish you luck, let me know if you succeed!

Thanks for the forum post.
I have asked some of our software developers here at Onset for their input regarding this post. The feedback from them is included here.
Basically while WINE may be a good fit for some consumer-based devices, the emulation breaks down when trying to assign ports (the standard U-series HOBO loggers are HID based devices)
HOBOware version 3.7.11 has not been tested with either Win XP nor with WINE in Linux. If a Win 7 emulation is available it may be worth trying that.
Best of luck and thanks for the interest in our products.
