Data from logger showing up strange on graph

I'm doing a group research project for my capstone course. We purchased a Conductivity and Temperature HOBO data logger and mounted it on well outlet where the logger should consistently be under water. On the graph of our data we are seeing an abrupt and immediate drop in both the Conductivity and the Temperature. When we went to retrieve that data logger, it was covered in red-orange residue that we assume to be iron in the water. Would this build-up cause this inconsistency in the data? Or maybe a bubble coming up through the pipe? Here is an image of the graph: http://prnt.sc/1289lqd The drop is around 4/8/2021 at 7:00am
