This bracket is required for mounting HOBO MX2200 Series loggers in either an RS1 or M-RSA solar radiation shield.
The optional MX2203 thermoplastic elastomer (Santoprene) boot provides cushioning for use in harsh conditions — offered in black to minimize underwater visibility, in white to minimize solar radiation absorption or grey. Five boots included.

This bracket is used to mount two PAR sensors (Part# S-LIA-M003) and two solar radiation sensors (Part# S-LIB-M003) on the Light Sensor Bracket (Part# M-LBB) for making the measurements needed to calculate the Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI).
NDVI monitoring systems are used to provide ground-based verification of satellite NDVI measurements and to fill in when satellites are not available. NDVI systems are also used to monitor crop health and to estimate yields.
Use the RS3-B Solar Radiation Shield with HOBO external sensors for improved temperature measurement accuracy in locations exposed to sunlight. The small size and unobstructed airflow of this shield provides a faster response to changing conditions than larger radiation shields.
The RS3-B Solar Radiation Shield works with most of Onset’s external temperature and temperature/relative humidity sensors, including those for our award-winning HOBO Weather Station products.
