PureChoice chooses Sensirion Humidity Sensors for Next-Generation IAQ monitor

BOURNE, MA, June 8, 2004 —Onset Computer Corporation, a leading supplier ofPureChoice integrated Sensirion SHT75 sensors into its line of Nose® Monitor products battery-powered data loggers and the exclusive representative of Sensirion digital relative humidity and temperature sensors in the Eastern/Midwestern United States and Eastern Canada, announced today that PureChoice, a leading manufacturer of indoor air quality (IAQ) monitoring technologies, has integrated Sensirion SHT75 sensors into its line of Nose™ Monitor products, including its new 3-sensor Nose.

The Nose 3 is a three-sensor IAQ solution that measures humidity, temperature, and carbon dioxide, and is designed to interface with most building automation systems. The Sensirion humidity sensors, which provide fully calibrated and temperature-compensated relative humidity (RH) output, will enable Nose Monitors to achieve an accuracy of ± 2% and ultra-fast response time. Additionally, the sensor offers a single-chip design, thus helping to simplify integration into the new monitor.

"The Sensirion device replaces two discrete sensors we had been using, providing better accuracy at less than half the cost," said Joe Wolf, PureChoice's director of technology. "Onset has been a great partner in helping us secure competitive quantity pricing and scheduling deliveries to match our production needs."
