SOLARSTREAM, designed and manufactured by Upward Innovations, Inc., makes it more convenient than ever for growers and researchers to keep an eye on field conditions, such as freezing temperatures or low soil moisture levels. SOLARSTREAM automatically notifies users via text messages or email when conditions exceed limits, and enables users to access and view current and historical data from any Internet browser. SOLARSTREAM works exclusively with Onset's family of research-grade weather stations, which includes the 15-channel HOBO Weather Station and 4-channel HOBO Micro Station. Both weather stations can be configured with any combination of Onset's plug-and-play smart sensors. Sensors are available for measuring temperature, relative humidity, dew point, rainfall, soil moisture, photosynthetic light (PAR), solar radiation, wind speed and direction, barometric pressure, 4-20mA, 0-5VDC, and pulse outputs. Onset's BoxCar® Pro software allows users to quickly and easily display, analyze, and export data collected with HOBO Weather Stations.

The SOLARSTREAM wireless transceiver is currently available from Upward Innovations, Inc., and is priced at $529. Pager network service ranges from $10 - $35 per month.
