Summary

Contributing member and technical lead for Onset's InTemp software product line within engineering, working closely with other engineering teams to accomplish product development goals and maintain the product line. Responsible to engineering and product management for dates and deliverables for assigned product development activities. This position can be fully remote, but must be in the Eastern or Central Time Zone. 

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Communicate with product owners to gather and understand requirements and develop the schedule for the team
  • Delegate tasks and achieve sprint and project goals, monitor progress, quality, and performance
  • Lead design discussions and decisions with the team and provide architectural and design direction
  • Drive daily scrums, planning, and grooming sessions
  • Identify risks and associated contingency plans
  • Keep up to date with current and future technologies relevant to the discipline
  • Work with sustaining team to address tech support issues
  • Review pull requests and provide feedback to maintain code quality
  • Participate in hiring process
  • Mentor team members
  • Contribute to development efforts and drive the release schedule
  • Participate in customer communication to provide technical guidance for new product development and proper usage of the current system
  • Keep stakeholders up to date with development progress

Qualifications (desired overall experience: 10+ yrs )

  • Demonstrated expertise in software engineering and success in developing and delivering products to market
  • Experience working in a variety of projects, contributing to tasks including project scoping, scheduling, and resource oversight for major technical projects
  • Management of maintenance and feature enhancement projects for existing products, including transition to manufacturing and deployment
  • Strong teamwork, communications, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience with cloud platform architecture (preferably AWS)
  • Experience in deployment of cloud components
  • Experience in handling onsite and remote teams
  • Experience in gathering product requirements and converting them into actionable epics, stories, and design documentation

Educational Requirements

  • BX CS, BS EE or equivalent

Skillset

  • Must haves
    • Java, Springboot
    • Node.js
    • React/Angular/Vue (any)
    • SQL/MySQL (PL/Sql) (any)
    • Familiarity with REST web services
    • Git
    • Agile methodologies
    • Familiarity with Unit Test frameworks (preferably JUnit)
  • Desired
    • Mobile Development (Xamarin/Swift/ObjC)
    • JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket
    • Experience with Bluetooth Low Energy communications
    • Maven/Go pipeline
    • Familiarity with data warehouse technologies (preferably Snowflake)
    • Experience with data security and integrity (understanding of 21 CFR Part 11 preferred)
