Environmental Research

The environmental science field is dynamic and multidisciplinary, integrating different scientific areas in the study of earth’s system, including the impact of human actions on the environment. Environmental research provides a foundation for this discipline, enabling environmental scientists to examine natural processes, analyze interactions, and find solutions to environmental problems.

Ecological studies, soil analyses, climate surveys, and other environmental investigations are supported through the use of monitoring and data collection, allowing for more complete and accurate assessments.

Onset data loggers, weather stations, and software provide environmental scientists with dependable tools for collecting the full range of environmental data, leading to a better understanding of environmental conditions.

RX2100-WL

The HOBO MicroRX Water Level Station is a cellular, web-enabled water level monitoring solution for stormwater, floodwater, irrigation, hydrologic, and environmental applications. Pre-programmed water flow formulas for select weirs, flumes, and a stage discharge table result in an easy and intuitive configuration.

New water flow and accumulated rainfall calculations, which are performed directly on the station at time of measurement, trigger immediate notifications of critical water level conditions.

The compact and durable station, together with the non-vented water level sensor, enables harsh condition deployments and reliable monitoring. The optional integrated solar panel or battery power, with a wide range of plug-and-play smart sensors, supports flexible environmental monitoring.

MX2202

The HOBO MX2202 waterproof temperature/light level logger leverages the power of Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to deliver accurate temperature and light-level measurements straight to your iOS or Android mobile device. Designed for durability, this compact waterproof logger is ideal for measuring temperature in streams, lakes, oceans, and soil environments. Data collection in the field has never been easier!

Remotely access your data in Onset’s cloud-based HOBOlink software with the new MX Gateway. (indoor deployments)

Mounting Requirements

It is very important that the logger housing does not get distorted when mounted.  For mounting these loggers to any non-flat surface, such as rebar or posts, we recommend using the Mounting Boot (BOOT-MX2201-2201).  This boot is also useful for mounting loggers such that they can be easily removed for service.
