Bluetooth site install

I'm curious if communication from the Bluetooth Low Energy on the MX2001 would be effected if is installed in a galvanized steel stand pipe?

While every deployment is different, our best advice would be to try it. A solid galvanized steel box might block radio waves... but the radio waves can find their way out of openings...so communication could be diminished, but possible. There is a good article about Bluetooth low energy communication that can be found on the Electrical Engineering Stack Exchange: https://electronics.stackexchange.com/questions/121599/bluetooth-low-ene...
I hope this helps, and I encourage any other Forum readers to chime in!
Cheers,
Gregg

Thanks Gregg. It sounds like we can use this device in some previously installed standpipes, and will perhaps use something else for other installations.
