The Onset USB Serial Adapter will also work with BoxCar Pro version 4.0, 4.1, and 4.2 but Onset recommends version 4.3 because that includes all the latest loggers and software enhancements, and the upgrade from version 4.0, 4.1, and 4.2 to version 4.3 is available as a free upgrade.
At this time, Onset has not fully tested the USB Serial Adapter with BoxCar 3.7 or the unwarranted BoxCar Pro for Mac, so neither of these is supported. There are known problems with BoxCar 3.7, because it does not support COM ports 5 and greater, which are often used by the USB Serial Adapter. Also note that G3 and G4 Power Macs are unable to run the PC versions of BoxCar or BoxCar Pro because the USB Serial Adapter is not compatible with Virtual PC
