To fix your Brother HL 1440 printing problem you can try this procedure:
- Go to Start|Settings|Printers.
- Select Brother printer, and right click 'Open Properties'
- Click on Advanced tab
- Select "Print Processor" button. Default is the shown "BrPrint." Select WinPrint instead, and leave at default of "RAW."
- Click OK, at next screen, click APPLY, and click on OK to exit print properties.
Boxcar should now print properly, as will your other apps.
