I am having problems opening or installing BoxCar on Windows XP.
When I click on the setup icon or theBoxCar Icon I get the following error message. "16 bit Windows Subsystem - C:\WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\AUTOEXEC.NT. The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and Microsoft Windows applications. Choose 'Close' to terminate the application."
Installation of Windows XP Service Pack 2 or certain anti virus programs may delete the AUTOEXEC.NT file. This file is required in order to install or run the BoxCar Program.
The file can often be found in the "C:\\WINDOWS\repair" folder. Once located, right click on the file and select copy.
You may also be able to locate this file on your machine by selecting "Start" and then Search. Type AUTOEXEC.NT in the search box and start search. Right click on the AUTOEXEC.NT file and select "read only."
You will now be able to open or install the BoxCar Software.
