Note: The Onset U30 Wi-Fi Remote Monitoring System works with all approved Access Point Router standards including typical home IEEE 802.11b and IEEE 802.11g units. Pre-N and Draft-N access point routers are ‘preliminary’ and will not work with our Wi-Fi U30.

The HOBO Remote Monitoring System is a remote data logging and monitoring device with built in Wi-Fi communications that can be easily reconfigured and adapted to measure a wide variety of applications. Up to 15 channels of data can be recorded and monitored remotely via Onset's web-enabled software platform, HOBOlink™.

Note: The HOBO U30 requires high-speed internet access and a data plan with HOBOlink.com, an Onset-hosted and managed web server.

In addition, you can set alarms to trip for specific sensor readings that you select or for overall system conditions, such as when the memory or battery is running low. See the HOBOlink Demo.

Configure Logger/Power/Software

Configure your U30-WIF below: (NOTE: U30s are built to order - a minimum one week lead time is required. International customer configurations will be forwarded to your local dealer upon checkout for fulfillment - check our international dealer locator to determine if you have a dealer in your country.)

Step 1Sensor Port Options

Choosing 2 analog inputs (VIA module) provides 2 analog inputs and sensor power;
and is user-configured for either 0-20 mA or 0-20V.
Step 2Smart Sensor Input Options
5 smart sensor inputs includes weatherproof inlets for up to 5 sensor cables. 10 smart
sensors inputs includes weatherproof inlets for up to 11 sensor cables, and 1 oversized
cable (0.25”)
Step 3Battery Option
* 10 Ah rechargeable battery required when using analog sensor port for sensor power.
To add solar panels or AC adapters see the Accessories tab (Acc.) after you have finished
configuring this U30.
