Overview

This tiny completely sealed underwater temperature logger utilizes optic communications for launch and readout. This model records 32K of temperature measurements from -5°C to 37°C (24 °F to 99°F). Waterproof to 333m (1000ft), StowAway TidbiT units should not be used in wet (>90% RH) environments and water temperatures higher than +30°C for more than eight weeks cumulatively.

FAQs

The Optic StowAway/StowAway TidbiT logger failed to download to the Optic Shuttle. [show/hide]

Make sure that the logger and the shuttle are clean from any type of buildup, algae, dust, etc. Follow cleaning directions listed below on "How to clean Optic StowAway and StowAway TidbiT loggers." Verify that the shuttle, logger and coupler are aligned properly and the magnet is still sitting in the small extension on the coupler.
How do I clean my Optic StowAway/StowAway TidbiT logger? [show/hide]

Do not use any type of chemical on the Optic or Tidbit loggers! You can wash the
logger with a mild soap and warm water solution. If the logger has a mineral or algae
build-up that will not come clean, do not scrape it off! You can use either a plastic polish, such as Novice&tm;, or you can clean the case with toothpaste and a soft cloth.

There is condensation/water inside my Optic StowAway/StowAway TidbiT logger. Is there any way to retrieve the data? [show/hide]

The data is stored on non-volatile EEPROM. As long as the EEPROM is not damaged, we should be able to retrieve the data for you. Contact place of purchase for a return number and specify that you need the data retrieved.
