How much data will the Optic Shuttle hold?[show/hide]The Optic Shuttle has a 128K capacity. This is enough memory to store 16 full 8K data loggers, or 4 full 32K data loggers.
-
Can the data be retrieved from a logger that is not communicating, or a logger that was accidentally re-launched prior to the data being downloaded?[show/hide]There are two common reasons for data loss: Relaunching a logger before the data has been saved Technical problem with the logger itself.
-
What should I do if the data logger's internal board gets wet?[show/hide]If possible, remove the board from the case and the battery from the board. Dry the board completely using a hair dryer.

I just bought a Data Logger. When I first plugged them into the USB port, a popup menu for Digital Signature concerning Microsoft asked if I wanted to continue: YES or NO. I said YES to all but one of them and now the computer won't recognize the logger.[show/hide]Open HOBOWare, plug the logger back in, then click on Start->Settings->Control Panel->System.

I launched my data logger with "delayed start," but I noticed that logging began earlier than the time I entered. What happened?[show/hide]There is a small bug in early versions of the HOBO Water Temperature Pro data loggers that result in premature starting in some cases (when using the...
-
The graph shows a random spike in the recorded data. What may have caused this?[show/hide]Spikes in the data file may be caused by rapid pressure changes or thermal shock (quick temperature changes). .
-
I cannot communicate with my data logger.[show/hide]The Optic and Tidbit data loggers must be inserted into the Base Station in order for the computer to detect them; it will not detect the Base...
-
My battery level seems to be going down quickly, what could be causing this?[show/hide]Check both the logging and the sampling interval to make sure they are greater than one-minute intervals.
-
The datafile shows two more points than my testing did. Why?[show/hide]
-
What is the maximum recommended source impedance?[show/hide]The maximum recommended impedance for analog sources is 2.5 K. This value is calculated based on the maximum leakage current of the input pin.
-
Can the data loggers be exposed to any type of chemical or chemical vapors?[show/hide]
-
How often do the data loggers need recalibration and/or servicing?[show/hide]The CO data logger should be checked, at a minimum, on a yearly basis. Proper testing requires a CO testing chamber.
-
Why is my connection to the data loggers intermittent?[show/hide]
-
How do I turn the data logger off?[show/hide]HOBO/StowAway data loggers shut off when the memory is full (unless wrap around is selected), or the data is downloaded to a computer.
-
How do I protect my data loggers from electrical discharge (ESD)?[show/hide]
-
