Onset Partners with ENERGY STAR

ENERGY STAR^® for Buildings

Onset’s in-house energy team has deployed a HOBO U30 Remote Monitoring System in the Hardware Engineering bay of our Cape Cod facility. The system is monitoring temperature, humidity and kWh to get base-line measurements for our ENERGY STAR initiative.

Onset recently became a part of the Environmental Protection Agency’s ENERGY STAR^® Partnership Program by making a commitment to protect the environment through the continuous improvement of the company’s energy usage.

Our in-house energy team is developing and implementing the necessary strategies and initiatives required to launch and sustain a formal energy management program for our Bourne, MA facility.

We will be using our own HOBO data logger products for monitoring electricity consumption and other parameters in various areas of the building. The data will provide us with the information needed to determine where best to focus our reduction efforts, and later to verify the results.

By taking part in the ENERGY STAR program, Onset will achieve an increase in energy efficiency (and lower energy costs) that will help reduce harmful emissions and lessen the dependency on the world’s petroleum supply.
