ONSET INTRODUCES NEW PALM-BASED DATA LOGGER SOFTWARE

BOURNE, MA, April 8, 2003 —Onset Computer Corporation, the leader in reliable,HandCar EX Software battery-powered data loggers and weather stations, today introduced HandCar EX, a new version of the company's popular HandCar data transport software for Palm® handheld computers. The new software provides a convenient way to offload HOBO data loggers at deployed locations without interrupting logging operation, and transport the data to a host PC for graphing and analysis. A range of Onset's latest products are supported, including HOBO LCD data loggers, the HOBO Water Temp Pro data logger, the 15-channel HOBO Weather Station, and the 4-channel HOBO Micro Station.

New HandCar™ EX enables uninterrupted data logging during offload, supports company's latest HOBO® data logger and weather station products.

In addition to providing on-location data logger readout and launch capabilities, HandCar EX also provides a number of logger management functions. For example, the software enables users to start loggers on location, view current measurements, and check battery status. Data from multiple loggers can be stored on the Palm handheld, and later offloaded to a PC for graphing, analysis, or data export using the company's easy-to-use BoxCar® Pro 4.3 software.

HandCar EX software, which is bundled with Onset's HandCar 1.1, is currently available for shipping for $40.
